September 1 2014 – Tomorrow our flight leaves for Istanbul and we hope to be on it. As those of you with more faith knew all along, everything DID work out with our passports and visas, our tenants are here, our kids are settled in Denver, our refrigerator and chest freezer are empty and clean, and I got to the end of Level I with my Turkish lessons in Rosetta Stone. So I can count, say Hello! and Goodbye! and Thank you!, and say “the kitty is watching the fish” Should prove useful.
How am I doing? (In Turkish: Nasilsin? but without dots over the letter “i”)
Excited, exhausted, anxious. Will post once we get there.
